The Backpack Program

When a loved one experiences a traumatic brain injury, the road to recovery extends far beyond the hospital walls. It continues at home — in quiet moments of frustration, in the middle of the night, and in the everyday tasks that no one prepared you for. At SARAACC, we see that journey. And we want to make sure you're not walking it empty-handed.

What Is the Backpack Program?

The SARAACC Backpack Program provides both patients and caregivers with a carefully assembled backpack filled with essential care items — many of which are not covered by insurance. From everyday comfort supplies to practical medical necessities, each backpack is thoughtfully packed with the things that make a real difference in daily life.

Because recovery is a team effort, we believe both the person healing and the person helping them heal deserve to feel supported.

More Than Just Supplies

The Backpack Program is a symbol of what SARAACC stands for: no one should face this alone. Born from the real-life experience of our founders, we understand firsthand what it means to navigate a system that wasn't built with caregivers in mind.

This program is our way of saying: We see you. We've been there. And we've got your back.
